School Casework (Arbor Hill Elementary & Hackett Middle School)
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany provides on-site school-based social work, counseling, and case management for students at-risk of suspension or truancy at Arbor Hill Elementary and Hackett Middle School. Programs include behavioral interventions, individual/group counseling, and family support aimed at reducing behavioral issues and fostering a positive school environment.
Services Provided:
- Case Management & Referrals: Connecting families with community health and social services.
- Behavioral Support: Assisting teachers with student behavioral issues and providing in-school interventions.
- Counseling: Short-term, individual, and group counseling.
- At-Risk Intervention: Specialized support for students facing detention or suspension, particularly at Hackett Middle School.
- Family Support: Counseling and services for families through Community Maternity Services (CMS).
These services are integrated into the school setting to address both academic and non-academic factors impacting student success.
